At Green Cuisine our mission is to provide a service that truly offers “eating for well-being”` by saving each client time, money, and stress while savoring delicious, healthy meals each night.

Hi, I’m Briana and I’d be delighted to be your
personal chef!

I have been professionally cooking-up delectable dishes for over 17 years.  My life-long passion for food started in childhood.  I received my first cookbook, The Peter Rabbit Natural Food Cookbook, for my ninth birthday from my aunt and uncle.  It was inscribed “To Briana, whose taste buds are so attuned, this just seemed like the perfect gift!”--Yes, I was the weird kid who liked Kalamata olives, curries, and onions.  This cookbook, and the ensuing inscription, was a sign from above that cooking is what I was born to do.

At a mere 11 years old, I began assisting a pastry chef at a bakery/café on Saturday mornings.  We specialized in made from scratch, health-conscious meals and baked goods.  This was the beginning of my culinary career, and I have never looked back.  I made the decision official after excelling in my high school’s alternative culinary program, in which the students would create daily menus for the school, its staff, and the public.  I went on to become formally trained in classical cooking, receiving my certification from the Professional Culinary Program at Camosun College, in British Columbia, where I was named Outstanding Student.  I have also since been educated through the Culinary Business Academy, in New Mexico, and am a Premier member of the United States Personal Chefs Association (USPCA).

I decided to follow the dream of being my own boss, and launched Green Cuisine Personal Chef Service, after years of acquiring knowledge in kitchens throughout Canada and Colorado.  I was sick of the hectic pace and tedious days that commercial kitchens were providing.  I needed a change.  Upon discovering the concept of a personal chef, I knew I had found exactly what I was looking for: Being able to provide a truly personalized service, cook delicious food, and use my imagination to its full potential; all while assisting people in need on a daily basis, making them truly happy in the process.

In addition to providing my clients with a stress-free way of putting dinner on the table each night, I also am a regular culinary instructor at Whole Foods Market in Fort Collins, a member of SlowFood USA, as well as a contributing writer to Health Central News, a widely distributed Northern Colorado publication.

Food is my passion.  Being in the kitchen is my meditation.  After a long day of cooking for others, I still come home and “unwind” by cooking for myself and my family.  There is nothing that brings me more pleasure than providing others with delicious and healthy meals, knowing that there is a lot more to dining than the just the food itself.  It is about uniting family and friends, taking time to enjoy each other’s company, and nourishment of body and soul.
